Ed
...lives a life of leisure in the midwest. He has many leather-bound books and his home smells of rich mahogany.

His dogs, Meriadoc and Perigrin, are the center of Ed's universe. Life as a stay at home "dad" can be rough, but knowing his "kids" are raised right is reward enough.

Typically at lunchtime Ed consumes copious amounts of blue corn tortilla chips and diet coke, and watches DVDs in his underwear. Life is Sweet.

JJ Abrams Needs To Read More Comics

Skimming over IGN’s Top 50 Lost Loose Ends earlier this week, I realized what a clusterfuck, albeit, a high-class clusterfuck, Lost has become.

If you had a friend that had 50 loose ends in life, you’d call him a total fuck up. If I was managing a project at work that had generated 50 emails from my co-workers with various incarnations of the subject line “WTF?”, I’d fired in a heartbeart. And if I had had a girlfriend that had banged 50 guys in two seasons… wait… nevermind. You know what I mean.

Basically, Lost has gotten wrapped up in it’s own mythology and is losing guys like me. Guys who started from the beginning, loved the concept, but got tired sending around the same “WTF?” email each morning after. Which is why Heroes has saved my TV season.

Instead of taking forever to complete a story arc, Heroes will have completed it’s first major story arc in under 8 episodes… something Lost hasn’t done since… shit, I have no idea. And I’ve seen every episode. And please, don’t debate me on this. I’m just right.

And even though series creator Tim Kring “isn’t a comic book guy”, he’s obviously read enough to know that short story arcs (6-8 issues) are a must in keep finicky readers engaged.

Then again, maybe if one of the survivors finds a suitcase full of cheerleading outfits for the rest of Lost’s season, I might be swayed back.

-Wilson
